Church unity across Southampton has taken many forms over the years,
the most recent, Southampton Christian Network,
has served its purpose and has been brought to an end.

Despite losing this identity we want to continue to foster relationships
among leaders and increase unity across our churches.

We will be hosting a monthly lunch & prayer for all churches
to build relationships and support one another.
For more information about these
please email southamptonleaders@gmail.com

We are continuing to share prayer resources and news of prayer initiatives
across the churches through Southampton House of Prayer (SoHOP).
To keep in touch you can visit the website here: sohop.org

Another network in the city is Love Southampton which is an initiative
of a broad range of churches in Southampton,
a diverse community of people united in our love for God,
and our love for our city. More details here: www.lovesouthampton.org.uk

SCN Membership and Support

SCN exists to build strong and sustaining relationships between leaders and churches through prayer, fellowship and a commitment to one another so that our unity creates an effective partnership for the gospel of Jesus Christ to flourish in Southampton.

Membership of SCN is open to all Christian churches and organisations who share our mission statement and are happy to embrace the Evangelical Alliance Statement of Faith as the Biblical basis of our partnership. We also ask members to commit to good, inclusive relationships, which respect a diversity of views on issues not essential to salvation, guided by the Evangelical Relationships Commitment. (See Statement of Faith and Relationships Commitment)

Being a member of Southampton Christian Network implies a commitment to the practical outworking of our mission statement in relationships with others to bring the gospel of Jesus Christ to the people of our city. Termly leaders’ breakfasts, City Prayer meetings and our annual retreat day are all valuable points of connection and inspiration. Our website and weekly notices emails serve the wider church by collating events and information from across the city.

Full Membership

We encourage churches to join up to full membership and ask for a minimum monthly financial contribution of £25 with larger churches being expected to commit to a higher level of contribution. Membership subscriptions facilitate the running and management of the website, and administration of events.

Associate Membership

Associate membership is particularly available for the Christian projects and organizations working across our city in social action and life changing enterprise.  We recommend that these organisations make an annual contribution of at least £50 and commit to partnering with us for the greater good of our city.
