Finance Trustee needed for CRY

Care and Relief for the Young (CRY) is a charity that helps local churches in developing countries work to transform the lives of the poorest of the poor young people in their communities.  Based in the offices of Kings Community Church we have a turnover in the region of £1m which includes the sales of our eight shops.

We are currently looking for a Finance Trustee to join our Board of Trustees to help guide and advise us on financial matters. We have a dedicated Finance Manager and so this role is to help oversee the financial work of our charity, not to be involved in the day to day running of the finance department.

CRY trustees meet about five or six times a year in the evening at Hedge End. We are looking for someone who would have a passion for helping the charity provide for the needy children in our world and who has experience of financial controls – i.e. an accountant.   Preferably we would like someone with an understanding of charity finance, pensions and legal requirements but this is not essential.

If you are interested in learning more then please contact CRY’s Chair of Trustees, Ian Chiddle, at ian.chiddle@btinternet.com
